Queen Anne’s at Home (QA@H) is excited to invite the public to join our next Social Hour featuring Bruce Wolpe, a US journalist living in Australia. A columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald, a frequent commentator on Australia's Sky News, and author, Bruce will speak to us from Sydney on how Australians view the current US political scene. This should be a fun and enlightening perspective on our hottest current events.

Bruce Wolpe is a Senior Fellow at the United States Studies Centre, and a regular contributor on US politics across media platforms in Australia. During President Barack Obama's first term, Bruce worked with the US Congressional Democrats. In recent years, he has served on the staff of Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, including as her Chief of Staff.

Bruce is co-author of a new book, The Committee, a study of President Obama's legislative agenda in Congress (University of Michigan Press, 2018). From 1998-2009, Bruce was a senior executive at Fairfax Media in Sydney. He is also the author of Lobbying Congress: How The System Works (Congressional Quarterly Books, 1990, 1996).
